...Regie Hamm continued
Regie’s music and songwriting are clearly the work of a keen observer of the world who has something to say about it. His critically acclaimed debut solo album, American Dreams (Universal South/Refugee), yielded the Billboard top 15 AC hit "Babies." As a songwriter, Regie has enjoyed more than 400 cuts -- over 20 of them number one hits -- and he was honored as the "SESAC Songwriter of the Year" in 1995, 1996, 1997 and 2000. He has multiple Grammy® and Dove Award nominations as both a producer and writer.
Regie has enjoyed tremendous success in both the Christian and secular markets. From writing and producing #1 hits for the likes of Clay Crosse and Point of Grace, to recording an album for Universal South and charting in the Top 20 with his first single, Regie is a proven hit-maker as an artist, songwriter, and producer. In 2008, his solo-written song “Time Of My Life,” hit the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 for American Idol’s David Cook, and Billboard declared at 16 weeks at #1 that the song was “one of the longest-running chart-toppers by a solo male artist in AC history. "
Entertaining live audiences nationwide in arenas, churches, and clubs, Regie Hamm’s work has a cinematic quality that leaves the listener with the feeling of an experience they will not soon forget.
Regie’s most recent forays into the world of literature with the blend of his writings, inspirational story, and music has opened up even more opportunities for Regie to make a difference in the lives of others. His daughter, Isabella, is affected by a genetic disorder called Angelman Syndrome, for which Regie devotes much of his time to raising awareness. Named to the board of the new Angelman foundation, FAST (www.CureAngelman.org), Regie has been a voice for the incredible scientific breakthroughs and the possible cure for this “incurable disease.”
